Sometimes I read portions of the old testament and I wonder how the Israelites consistently managed to turn away from the God who provided for them through 40 years in the desert, and honored His promise to give them the Promised Land.
I wonder how they could forget all of the miracles He performed for them, all of the favor that He granted them, and all of the ways He pursued them, and yet still “did what was evil in the sight of the Lord,” and served other Gods.
And then I remember how similar we are to those Israelites, and it becomes much clearer to me. Just like the Israelites we have a tendency to allow our hearts to go astray. We quickly forget from whom our blessings come, and quickly worship the blessings instead of their giver.
We lose sight of how easy it is for our priorities to shift. How easy it is for us to put our businesses, our desire for success, and our desire for significance to come before our desire to obey our very loving God. And whether we are willing to admit it or not, it’s the crux of this tendency that can often keep us from the very best God has for us.
It’s what lies at the root of this behavior that can steal “the fruit” that we are designed to produce.
Today I’m going to help you see ten subtle ways this root behavior, this little ugly three letter word, can sneak into your business and life and keep you from the very thing God has set before you. If you can get a hold of this truth, if you can increase you awareness and your willingness for God, together you can be unstoppable. Listen today!

Re: “Rising Tide Spotlight?” I think i’ve got something special the Christian world should know about The message of debt free wealth is a message that my business embodies. I help those who desire it, delete debt, build wealth and protect family and assets through various resources. The resource that I am most excited to share is the natural, God given resource of gold and silver. Not only has it retained it’s value better than man made cash, but Utah has made it legal tender in their state and several other states are writing similar bills (see http://www.goldandsilvercoininvesting.com/gold-is-money-take-2). Christians should embrace gold and silver as it was integral to the blueprint of the Tabernacle and the Temple, and in Exodus 25:1-3, it is the first listed in the items of acceptable offerings to the Lord. I personally tithe in gold and silver, and I save in gold and silver and it has been a better medium for retaining value than cash.
It’s working now.
I love your comments on how sin is ultimately idolatry – such as the love of money. And I love what you said about honoring the sabbath. That’s an area near and dear to my heart
