If there is one thing that amazes me the most about God, it’s His goodness. It’s beyond me. And His promises…they astonish me. I’m always encouraged to know that God sent His only Son to us so that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
And it’s knowing that that gives me the courage and enthusiasm to approach each day with an expectancy of great things to come. It’s knowing that that gives me the confidence to trust that God will provide me with everything I need to do all that he’s called me to do in my business and in my life.
And part of that which God gives us as entrepreneurs, is our gifts.
Whether you’re willing to admit or not, you were created with skills, talents, and abilities that are truly unique to you and your business. They are part of your winning difference, and they are part of your purpose. You should be pleased with your gifts. You should appreciate them.
But is it possible to appreciate your gifts so much, you forget the importance of the One who gave them to you? And what if you do, what does that mean from a spiritual perspective?

Good stuff, Marlee. I love how you connect the ancient Israelites to us today – it really is such a tendency to worship the gifts instead of the giver. Anytime we’re accomplishing things for God, I think there’s the temptation to take pride in ourselves and in our own gifts. We have to keep our dependence on him in mind.

It is so tempting to take credit. I think it’s normal – I mean we all want to be valued and praised for a job well done. We just have to recognized that we don’t need from others. Just from God himself. And I think if you think of it that way, you leave little room for pride.
This is such an important topic. God needs to be in the center of all of our life, personal, business, family, and all the other stuff we can do. Great podcast and reminder. Thanks for the Monday motivation.
