I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this podcast. This morning I woke with this, “how do you know when it is time to “throw in the towel” on your dreams?” You see, I have been waiting for clarity for my next steps. My husband and I have invested our entire life, our marriage, our money into a middle of the night voice that said, “make a film.” The story is too long to tell in a comment, but briefly, about a year after my brother was murdered, I sat up in bed and told my husband, “I am going to make a film.” I wasn’t a filmmaker, didn’t own a camera, had no money to hire a crew, yet this “voice” became the driving force – the film follows my journey to meet my brother’s killer in prison. On days (and there were many!) that I wanted to quit (over a 7 year process), I would receive a sign – a something to confirm my path and that this step into the unknown was right, in God’s will, and meant to be. I now have a film, and it is beautiful and powerful and impactful and some days I genuinely hate it (because I am exhausted, and broke, and looking for the next step, etc.) Anyway, thank you, thank you. I am grateful I woke and did a google search with simply this: “how do you know when it is time to throw in the towel on your dreams?”

director, the final gift documentary
I enjoyed listening to you very much. If I had not heard something interesting, I would not have listend to the entire podcast. You are in your gift. I thank you for stepping out on Faith. Letting others know you believe in God. That Without God, plans may fail unless we are lined up with his will. Thank you.
Miss Cheryl,
Your words of encouragement bring me so much joy. Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I hope that was something in there that you just needed to hear.
Thanks again, Cheryl.
Staying in God’s will is important…for sure!
Thanks for stopping by, Brandon. It is!
Great podcast, Marlee.
One thing that you mentioned that has been so helpful for me is the value of counsel. Whenever I’ve made some major life decisions, I’ve asked many, many people. Every single one gave me some new nugget of God-given wisdom.
Aww thanks, Loren. I’m so glad you liked it. Did you see that you were highlighted in last week’s? You can see that here:http://marleeward.com/monday-mindset-training-how-to-develop-the-courage-boldness-to-take-game-changing-action-in-your-business-life/
And yes, counsel and godly-wisdom are key.
Oh wow, I didn’t see that – that’s awesome! I’ll have to go listen to that one too!
Sooooo true! Thank you for offering your very practical application, I’m going to make a prompt card so that I can check each step in every decision I make. Bless you:)
