Aloha Mike!
Windows Live MM is AWESOME! Crazy Huh?!? I was going nuts trying to us WMM. I don’t understand why the two are so different, but thank goodness they are! WLMM is much more user-friendly. Glad you like the feel of the site…I did it myself…so that means a lot!

Yeah, we always have to do whats best or what works for us. Anything opposite would be insane ( R.L. Stine ghoulish voice). Personally, i wanted to re-do my website and make it more simple. And this is exactly what i needed. The video by that dude, Chris helped me narrow my vision. Now i know how to change the columns on my website and all. Thats going to help me bundle!

Peace Marlee.. I’m Supporting your website..until…

Is that a threat?!?! Until… Until what?!?! You’re killin’ me. ;)
Your website kicks-a$$ – the feel, layout, and design are all very complimentary.
Chris is a really smart guy and the tutorials by DIY themes are unbelievable. The links here should prove useful too.
I’ll be talking to you…until…. (I don’t even know what that means but I wanted to leave you with some suspense!)

Great tips, Marlee and another pleasant video. Those web developers will convince you that you need all kinds of bells and whistles. If not informed of such options one can spend way too much money on a site that is very user-unfriendly. There is a real wealth of information here.

Hiya Rob!
You are spot on! Keeping it simple is key. It’s more important to serve your purpose than have a bunch of useless whiz bang!
Good to see you here as always! :)

Marlee: Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to write this post. It was uber helpful! :)

I’ll check out the Logitech Webcam. Also, I haven’t been using Thesis, though I’ve heard praise about it since as long as I remember. I guess it’s time for me to give it a second look. ;) Thanks Marlee!

On a side note, I love that shirt you’re wearing (or what I saw anyway)! Where do you shop, girl?! Details!

I’m going to upgrade my Thesis. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. If anything – I’ll be doing more…sooner than later.

I use firebug. I actually learned about that from Lisa (2creeateawebsite) back when I was learning about blogging. I don’t know how I could get by without it!

Thanks for the reply. Have a great weekend.

Well aren’t you a full of personality today, Marlee. Well, you always are – but today your energy was up even more than normal. See, Friday’s ARE better than Muundays!

Very very cool post. I use Thesis (as you know), so I need to go through each of the links you listed to make sure I’m using things optimally. I didn’t purchase the developers package though, I don’t think. Do you know what the added options are by chance? If it makes sense I need to upgrade – because I’m not going anywhere, anytime soon!

Thesis has been a serious blessing for me. I love to but my creativity to work without having rigid obstacles in place. The basic options give you enough to have a nice looking and functioning website. Learning the CSS and PHP showed me that my options are unlimited!Funny: “…so user-friendly Fred Flintstone could use it!”

Thanks for the info Marlee…very informative. My first stop will be to make sure that I’m maximizing my SEO (and I know I’m not).

Have a great weekend and I’ll catcha’ on Monday! Looking forward to what you have up your sleeve.

JK!
Heeeyyyy…maybe it is the Friday coming out it me. More likely than not it’s just that I’m becoming less and less conscious of the fact that I’m broadcasting my crazy self to the WORLD. LOL. I’m glad you found the video entertaining and helpful – mission accomplished.

The tutorials I listed are GOLDEN. I’ve been using thesis since it was 1.6 and I swear by those tutorials. They are solid. You must read the one about Firebug. You’ll be blown away at how helpful that thing is. Looking at your site I can see you’ve got a great handle on Thesis so I know you’ll love it.

The options you get with a developers license include:
1. Unlimited use of Thesis on sites that you own
2. Access to all-new beta versions of Thesis before final release

The big draw is number 1 because if you ever decide to build another site using thesis (which you probably will even if you don’t think it just yet) you don’t have to buy another personal license. Other than that…it’s the same deal. :)
